Origin of Dobolt.

I always thought donuts was derived from the the act of making dough into the shape of a nut. Doughnut, donut. When I finally wiki-ed it today, I found out that it was invented by an angry 16 year-old kid. I was no where close.

Based on my initial thoughts, a handsome 26 year-old boy is inventing dobolt today. Dobolts are what sets us apart from our competitors. Dobolts are targeted at potential customers that do not like sweet things and/or donuts. A dobolt has the elongated shape of a bolt but with a hollow middle – more of like an ice cream cone.

Customers can choose their preferred fillings. Sambal udang, tuna mayonnaise, potato curry, salad mix & many more. Or have the dobolts baked for extra crispiness to be served with butter-kaya mix or honey cinnamon cream? All which can go very well with our generous servings of drip coffee.

Prices and presentations are very important aspects of our business. Donuts are sold at RM1.90 each. A dobolt is priced at RM2.90. A RM3.90 (RM0.90 discount) “Lover’s Combo” is one dobolt and one donut screwed together.

Customizable keyboard.

This idea has been brewing in my head for a few days. For it to work, major keyboard manufacturers will have to agree on a standard dimension for their keys. This will make the individual keys on say, a beige Samsung keyboard completely compatible with those on a black Microsoft keyboard.

This make them customizable and big names will want a piece of your keyboard real estate. Buy a carton of Coke, and you’ll get a Coke key for free. Make a donation to receive a ‘thank-you’ key, and Dell computers will all come with standard Dell ‘D-keys’. Imagine the endless possibilities…

I’m seriously thinking whether to continue developing this idea or not. Everyone I’ve pitched this idea to, really thought it’d be cool too.
