White petals…
March 14, 2009Saya sebotol Sarsi.
February 20, 2009I’m black and bubbly. My hair was curly. Now it’s drapey. And this is my Singapore story.
Reached the airport around 7pm to catch my flight back home – which was booked for 9 o’clock. The check-in counter lady then told me… “Sorry Sir, you are 10 hours too late.”
FUCK! Then I regained composure and tried to calm myself.
It’s OK. Everybody make mistakes the first time they travel out of Malaysia. Everybody make wrong bookings the first time they travel by plane.
Besides… I have a reputation to uphold.
So I called PersonX in Penang, “Hello? Don’t laugh! I need some help …”

Only Suka Thai Girl.
September 19, 2008My brother brought back something I “designed” in Shanghai 6 months ago. I was there for about a week, but it was only delivered much much later. And they don’t do International shipping.

I know. I admit. WTF was I thinking. I’m finding ways to salvage this pair. Wonder if it helps if I change the lace to white or grey.
Anyway, I also went and did something similar in KL. I’ve read that mi Adidas was finally available at Pavilion so I went make one. I thought it was cool – until I saw it popped up at KennySai’s blog later. Too late, all paid for by then. I signed for the pair yesterday and this is how it’s like…

This one’s a bit better overall – in terms of weight, comfort and design. Weight and comfort got nothing to do with me. The design has got a lot to do with my baby. “NO! CANNOT! You want another McDonald’s shoe izzit?”
But most of all, I like my new Navy/Beige RunSpark the most. By Onitsuka Tiger.

Paiseh, paiseh, paiseh…
September 19, 2008Teary-eyed events: Fall for you – Secondhand serenade… la la la…Money Not Enough 2… $ $ $…

I have been so lazy beyond imagination, so sloppy beyond the recognizability of a normal-eyesighted mum, full of excuses till it oozes from the ears, nose and eyes. I haven’t been blogging consistently… I wish to be back… and I’m trying to do exactly that.
My car is still at the workshop in Kuala Kangsar. I called up last week to find out that nothing’s changed yet. Still deformed since the incident where it got hit by the wall about 6 weeks ago. I have since forgiven the wall. So long as it promises to be more careful on the highways.
Business’s been okay. Basically unaffected by the fuel price & inflation. The ups and downs mainly driven by increased competition. A reliable staff left but the void was quickly filled up by another as-reliable old timer. So no problems there. And actually quite happy with the way things are going.
Certain parties have come up with proposals to buy off the whole chain from me for a sum I’ve always thought its worth. The down side is, I may never be able to hit my “1000″ dream and keep the brand name. The up-up-up side however, it gives me the freedom & time to start new things – in KL or Penang.
It has always been my dream to own a restaurant. The day it happens, the blog title will be changed to Simmering Pot.
Crayons and ice-cream.
July 28, 2008Every 5 minutes or so, the teacher would go the school PA system and announce this…
“LAST CALL! Super cheap! Come get your crayons form ridiculously low prices! Come come…only while stocks last.”
And every time she went on air, we would all steal cynical looks at each other, making funny eyebrow movements and all… As if talking silently among us. “What the hell? what the fuck? How to sell?..Still left a whole truck!?” Apparently the crazy teacher ordered a whole truck worth of crayons, water colors and colored pencils to be sold to exactly 1098 primary school students of the school.
48-Sticks Crayon Set = RM9.80
12-Sticks Crayon Set = RM3.80
24-Bottles Water Color Set = Rm 7.80
12-Bottles Water Color Set = Rm 6.80
48-Colored Pencils = RM 12.70
8-Colored Pencils = RM 3.80
And if anybody were to purchase over RM3.50, they would get a free parking rebate for the entire day. And if anybody were to ask for a discount, no matter how big or small, we would have to grant it.
Weird thing is, the stuffs were already being sold at cost price – no profit. On top of that, we gave discounts and free parking. And since it was a charity event, all proceeds (if any) will go to them. I was kept busy the whole time, packing and issuing parking receipt and then suddenly the ice-cream van came.
As it got closer and closer, it got louder and louder. Until it was unbearable anymore, it woke me up. J had called…
Rupa-rupanya, it was just a dream.
